Definition of Cloud:-

Cloud term means “anything collect in a mass ”. Cloud Computing is a way to store and access data via internet. It is a platform where users can store their information over the internet via using online drives.

Characteristics of Cloud Computing:-

Cloud computing characteristics are following:-

  • Flexible & Easier way to store data by user and can access it anywhere via internet.
  • Once applications are installed on cloud then there is no need to install it on individual user’s computer. User can access it anywhere in the world via internet.
  • Cloud Computing’s maintenance is much easier.
  • Performance is much better & always monitored by IT experts.
  • Online gaming in cloud computing provides the platform to gamers without using their resources.
  • Cloud Computing use the concept of virtualization in which resources are allocated to the users.
  • All resources provided to the users based on security.
  • Dynamic scalability and elasticity.
  • Resources on-demand.
  • Resources are automatically control & optimize by cloud computing

Models of The Services:-

In cloud computing services are provided according to their models. There are three types of services in cloud computing:-

  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Software as a Service (SaaS)


Deployment Models of Cloud Computing:-

There are three types of deployment models of cloud computing:-

  • Private
  • Public
  • Hybrid

Other Deployment models are Community, distributed and intercloud.
