Tolerance can play a vital role in achieving peace and progress in the world. The world is full of different groups, nations and races.The essay ''Tolerance'' highlights the importance of tolerance among human beings, E.M. Forster holds the importance of tolerance over love. He wrote the essay at a time when Europe was being reconstructed after the Second World War and the people were sick of bloodshed and devastation. There was a discussion going on to rebuild civilization. Different plans were being discussed. Some plans were to promote love between nations.Forster rejects it and stresses upon the need of tolerance.

Tolerance can play a vital role in achieving peace and progress in the world. they have to sink down their mutual differences for peace and progress in the world. If tolerance is adopted it enables different nations and countries to sit together and work for harmony and political stability in the world.The present political, social, religious and economic conditions of the world demand that we should evolve mutual understanding and live for the betterment of the humanity.

Most of the conflicts, disputes and strifes of the world are due to the lack of tolerance.If the spirit of tolerance is adopted at every level by the nations, then it will give birth to harmony and order among the nations and countries of the world. The ultimate result will be peace and progress. Tolerance is a key to bright future and in the present conditions, the world is in dire need of it. Nations should join hands and march towards the path of peace and progress by tolerating each other. The nation should tolerate each other and learn to live in harmony. In this way, we can save the world from dangers of war for the establishment of peace. Peace in the world would definitely promote progress.
